An Individual Decision

Living God’s way of life is not easy, but it is simple. God’s way of life involves obedience to His laws and instruction. His Way is life. Human beings have decided to make and follow a path of their choosing, which is, and forever has been, very different from what God originally intended for us to follow. Human history is the story of a continuous struggle against sin, all forms of sin. What our modern world has lost sight of, and what the ancient pagan world never understood, is that God is the Designer and Creator of all that is, was, and will be. Scripture reveals to us that God does not change — meaning His fundamental laws never change.

God provided Jesus to assist human beings who realize they have strayed off His path. Humbly accepting Jesus, fully as humanly possible, allows all of us to have an honest, enduring, loving relationship with God enabling and facilitating grace, mercy, justification, salvation, and all other awe-inspiring Divine Blessings from God. Once we have that relationship, we are prepared to assist Christ Jesus in changing the course of our lives as well as human history. As we grow in spiritual maturity, we begin to grasp the enormous and magnificent scope of God’s plan for our lives and humanity as a whole. We help ourselves, but more importantly, we help others. We become part of the solution and no longer part of the problem.

If, some two thousand years ago, prophets, disciples, and Apostles warned the end was near. How much closer is the end time today in the year 2020? It is time to put an end to all excuses for not surrendering our life, entirely, to Christ Jesus. Have you reached the point in your existence where you are desperately searching for truth? Something you can cling to knowing it is true, real, and can be believed in and depended on confidently forever and ever? If not yet, the day will undoubtedly come. I pray that everyone will reach that point before it becomes too late, and God calls you home to Him. Stop adding to your confusion by allowing others to sway you from the truth. God is The Truth. How do I know? It can be found again and again in Scripture. Truth, or fact, I once read, can also be thought of as a series of consistent perfect actions that produce the same result perfectly always. There is nothing, and no one, in this material realm of existence since Jesus personally walked among us that is true in truth.

We are precisely what God Created. By God’s design, we all have free-will if we have ultimate determination. God knows what we are going to do, but He does not cause it. Our brain is our private organ, Created by God, that houses our minds. The thinking process which takes place in the mind of our brain results in our behavior. God knows what we are going to think, but He does not cause it. Our behavior is, for the most part, who we are and determines how we act and react. God knows what we are going to do, but He does not cause it. We make our own choices, and those choices form the life in which we live. Our life, our experience, is not only of our choosing but also our design.

God wants everyone to be saved and to spend eternity with Him, enabling innumerable Divine Blessings. Using the word everyone, I mean every individual. Individual, as in singular. Not a husband and wife, but the husband or the wife. Not father and son, but the father or the son. You see, we will stand all alone before God when the time comes.

We must come to the foot of The Cross as quickly as honestly possible. Our lives are a vapor that appears for a little while and vanishes. It is critically important we bear in mind how brief our human existence can be. The sacrifice of Christ Jesus makes it possible for you and me to develop and have an intimate personal relationship with our heavenly Father, the Designer, and Creator of all that is seen and all that is unseen.

That crucial relationship is the most critical decision of our lives. It is an individual decision where we declare and decide, nothing, and no one comes before our relationship with our God. We must declare and decide we have the right and responsibility to search out every possible source to hear and prayerfully be fed the Word of God. We should search out other Believers for fellowship, education, example, and mentorship. We must be careful always to remember Believers or not; other human beings are in our lives but do not govern our lives. We came into the world alone but with the spark of God, and that is how we will leave it – alone but with the spark of God.

We are precisely what God Created. By God’s design, we all have free-will if we have ultimate determination. Believe in your ability to make wise decisions. Have faith in the choices you make based on your decisions. If God is for you, who can be against you? Make the decision today to redirect, change, and take charge of the life you have here and now. That decision will positively determine your experience with God for all eternity. Even though we are in this world, Believers know they are not of this world. We are children of the Most High, God. Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is — His good, pleasing, and perfect will (Rm. 12:2). Nothing can separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus, our Lord (Rm. 8). God, The Truth, encourages and provides the way, but we choose, and He did not cause it.
